Easter Bunny and First's

Easter was so enjoyable! Mahal didn't really understand what was going on but she had a lot of fun with the things that she got from her Grandma's. This week has been full of first's for Mahal. On Monday April 25th, she stood all by herself!!!! She went right over to this little stool and stood right up. She has been trying for awhile. Then, yesterday Saturday April 30th, she took her first little crawl. The right way..... she has been scooting around really funny but finally she did it with both knees on the floor. We love her so much but she is really sassy sometimes!

She loved the candy inside the eggs!

Easter Sunday just hanging out with Dad!!!

Mahal's first time dying Easter eggs

My first stand all by myself!

It was sunny one day this week and so I decided to take her outside and get some good pictures of her. It is a challenge to take her pictures!!! She loves to be outside and when she is out there she has no attention span. I can't get her to smile for anything! And on top of all the the bird, grass, and bugs all over, the neighbor's horse got out and all she wanted to do was watch it run.

Oh and how can I forget the highlight of our day after our photo shoot... My little brother showed up at our house with his new pet.

Three weeks ago my mom and I took the kids to Baby Animal days and it was fun. Mahal loves animals!!! She was able to ride a pony and the boy that we helping us said that she was the youngest to ride that he had ever seen. It was raining/snowing but it didn't even phase the kids.

Overall the week has been great and we're looking forward to the next busy one we have ahead.

It's about time.....

So, I'm back from not blogging. I quit my job and you think that I would have all the time in the world to sit down and post a blog but, I don't. Being a mom is REALLY a full time job (and a great job). I never can get all the things done that I want but, i'm really thankful and blessed to be able to stay home with Mahal!
Well, a lot has happened in the months that I haven't posted! We went to Oregon/Washington for my brothers wedding and to see family! It was so much fun!!! We really enjoy spending time with my brother and his family! How we wished that we lived closer to them!:) Mahal loves her cousins! They have so much fun together and I think that they are ready to have a new brother/sister.:) Tessa and Emory love to take care of Mahal!
We had a lot of fun in Oregon. We went to the park, ate at some fun restaurants, played with cousins and went to the Portland temple.

This is us playing at the park....only day of sunshine!

This was Mahal's first time in a swing and she didn't know what to think of it.

This is us at the Temple and of course it was raining. We got soaking wet!

Mahal was in Dad's jacket the whole time at the temple.

My brother's wedding was in Portland and then the reception was in Washington....... long drive! We were able to go to Seattle with some of my family after the reception. It was really enjoyable! We went to the Pike's Place market and saw all of the fish and the fun things that people were selling. It was raining (like always) and cold. We went and ate at the Crab Pot. It's supposed to be a famous place to eat and was pretty good. It was the first time I had crab and lobster! It was o.k. but I will have to say that seafood is not my favorite! We took some fun pictures.

This is us and Honey on our way down A LOT of stairs to get to the Crab Pot.

Mahal is just loving life in the market. She is funny and has her own personality!

This is us standing on the Pier and we were freezing!

We saw a ton of sea food. I wonder how they sell it all and surprisingly it didn't smell all that bad.

Over all we had such a great time!

Mahal's new adventures

Mahal went to the Jazz game(and let me mention --- we were on the 2nd row!!!)! Her first and final one until she is a little older:). We thought that she would enjoy it, but I think that it was too loud. We gave her some ear plugs and head phones but they didn't work. When the jazz would score she would jump out if her pants because of the noise. She loved the Jazz bear! Every time she saw him she got this crazy look on her face that was like what the heck are you and what are you doing???

Mahal also had her 6 month birthday! We had a fun little birthday cake for her and she got her 6 month shots! You would think that she would just dive into her cake and get it every where, but she didn't! Adrian put her face in it and she didn't know what to do---- she just cried.

Dad smashed my face in the cake!

My Shots!

When Mahal gets cranky the only way we can calm down is to go outside and look around. She LOVES being outside! She has a favorite friend that lives in the barn!!! Lucky the dog! Every time she see's the dog she wants to eat her up! The funniest thing happened the other day when we went down to the barn, she was screaming and we walked over to the cows and one of them mooed and she was so freaked out!!!!!! My mom was holding her and my mom was like we have to leave! It was kind of funny that she was crying because if the cow's moo.

Grandpa and Mahal freezing their buns.

Lucky the dog:)

She loves being naked!!!! That is her new thing!

This is her trying to help dad and being naked at the same time! She loves to help do everything!!!!

I can't believe how big she is getting! I love her so much!!!! Adrian too!!! The Lord has blessed us so much in the past few months and I'm so grateful for all that I have!

Holiday Rodeo

WOW! It's been a long time since I have been on to blog. I'm just going to blame it all on the holidays!:) The holidays were good but i'm so glad that they are over! They are always like a rodeo --- always on the run from one family to the next. But, we're back and ready to do better at keeping up on the blog. So many things have happened in the past month and a half!
Mahal can finally sit up all by herself (Jan. 4th 2011) and while I am typing this..... this is what she is doing! She is so funny!

She had her first Christmas and her first stocking. She didn't care about anything but the wrapping paper.

She loves her daddy! He helped her open most of her gifts.

Mom helped her a little bit too! She got lots of fun toys from grandma and honey!

Her aunt Kayla came home from China and she never wants to leave Mahal alone!
Her favorite cousins came up from Oregon for the holidays and she has found a new love for real food! She hates baby food which is kind of a problem.

She is starting to talk a lot and her new favorite thing is to hiss like a snake before she says any words (or I guess they are just mumbles)! She is going to be a handful when she starts walking.....and crawling. Oh and how can i forget, she rolled over!!!!!!! All by herself! Back to front, she can't go from her front to her back yet. Isn't it harder for them to go back to front????

The joy of being a mother! I love every minute that I get to spend time with her. I am so thankful for my family and for the wonderful holiday season we had this year!
